It simply doesn’t get any better than this: receiving a letter beginning with “Dear Mr. Burg & Mr. Mann” from an adorable little 10 year-old girl describing the difference in her life our book has made.
Here is her letter (click on letter image to read):
I wrote back to thank her, and asked if she could have her Mommy or Daddy call me. Several days later I received a call from Steven, who thanked me for writing back. I asked if I could post her letter and he gave me his permission. He also asked if I’d say hi to Nadia, which I was very happy to do.
The poise and maturity in that little voice was well beyond her years. However, when I asked her what grade she is in and she said, “8th grade” I wondered what was up. “8th grade home school” she added. Figures. 🙂
And, it turns out the family lives near St. Petersburg, Florida, where I’ll be speaking tomorrow. I asked Steven if he’d like to bring the entire family, including Nadia and her older brother as my guests. He enthusiastically agreed, feeling it would be a great learning experience for his kids.
Have I ever mentioned how much I respect home-schoolers?
Wow! Go, Nadia!
I love stories about cool kids. I bet it was a delight to meet her in person.
Thanks so much for sharing the joyful letter!
What a beautiful letter… !
How wonderful it is, Bob, to be able to pass along wisdom and enjoy the “ripple effect” as go-giving is spread to the next generation.
Thanks so much for sharing Nadia’s letter. What a special gift you gave back to her too. I’m sure she’ll remember your thoughtfulness in reaching out to her forever. Years ago, I enjoyed a brief correspondence with Leo Buscalgia, the author of “Love,” and it was also thrilling for me to hear back from someone I admired. Thanks for all that you do!
Bob and John,
That is an amazing story! Whoever gave her that book is equally amazing. Nadia is amazing for reading AND applying it.
This has touched me. Thank you again for writing this inspiring book!
Just finished the book in one sitting this morning – loved it and can’t wait to share it with others. How cool that a 10 year old is already applying these principles?! Go Nadia! I was homeschooled until 8th grade and agree it is awesome! Thanks for the book – I appreciate the way you have taken Biblical principles and put them into a form everyone can understand and apply.
Very touching…priceless!
Joining Steve Kaiser in a one-word summation- Priceless.
I believe that listening to the wisdom of the children it is one of our highest privileges. Respecting their intellect and insight is of utmost importance.
One of my most valued insights from the ancient poets of the Vedas is this:
“The child-mind dwells in the assembly halls of the supreme intelligence.”

Please tell your clients thank you from us!
Wow, this is the greatest letter you have received, I believe. Your book Go-Giver does change people lives, even young age.
