There have been so many people who have shared the Go-Giver books with others and helped the Go-Giver movement to grow, it would take an entire website to list them all. (And even then, we’d have to keep updating it every hour!) The whole Team Go-Giver runs into the tens of thousands … but here are the core team members who have been so vital in helping take the Go-Giver message out to the world.
Kathy Tagenel is an entrepreneur and a strategic business advisor. She is president of Go-Givers International and president of Zoom Strategies, Inc., the marketing strategies firm she started in 2004. Since 2008 Kathy has been working with Bob Burg to grow The Go-Giver Movement and build The Go-Giver brand. Kathy’s background is in marketing, information technology, and management; her passion is working with entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to help them develop and grow their businesses. She received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and her MBA from the University of Chicago. She is also a Kolbe Certified™ Consultant and helps individuals discover the freedom to be themselves. She started her own consulting business in 1999 and previously had worked for large corporations such as IBM, Ameritech and Verio. Kathy is an adventurer who loves to travel and boldly go where she’s never gone before! She looks forward to connecting with all the amazing ambassadors of The Go-Giver Movement.
Leslie Parisi joined the The Go-Giver Team in March of 2018 as Bob’s Executive Assistant. She provides administrative support and manages Bob’s interview schedule. Prior to joining our team, Leslie worked for two Fortune 500 medical device manufacturers as an award-winning territory sales manager. Leslie holds a B.A. in Marketing from the University of Central Florida and has over 10 years of sales and marketing experience. Leslie currently resides in Jupiter, FL and enjoys spending time with her family, especially outdoors and on the water boating.
As a Certified Go-Giver Speaker and Coach, Shannon believes and teaches that the most valuable gift you can offer is yourself. Shannon passionately leads, trains and coaches thousands of women in the direct sales industry, is our Go-Givers International Director of Engagement, a wife of over 25 years and Mommy to five. When she is not a hundred feet under, scuba diving in caves or with sharks, she’s on a mission to stop women everywhere from listening to and believing lies that are holding them back from who they were created to be.
Ana has a lifelong commitment to empowering people through education. She is trained in clinical psychology and education, has taught at the graduate level, and served as clinical director of a county-wide Alzheimer’s family support services program, and cofounded New England’s first college of Chinese medicine. As a business coach and educator, she has worked in both the profit and nonprofit sectors. She currently sits on the board of directors of the Red Circle Foundation, which provides emergency gap funding and child enrichment program support for families of Special Operations veterans. Ana’s counsel was instrumental in making The Go-Giver the powerful story that it is, and she has a mission to take the Teacher’s Guide to the Go-Giver to thousands of classrooms around the country.
Randy is an English teacher and the athletic director at Wheeler High School in Valparaiso, Indiana. Coauthor with John and Bob of A Teacher’s Guide to The Go-Giver, Randy has been teaching The Go-Giver to his students since 2009. A teacher since 1979, Randy was nominated by former students and selected to “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers” seven times, and selected for the Charles F. Mass District I Indiana Athletic Administrator’s Distinguished Service Award in 2008 by the Indiana High School Athletic Association and his peers. Randy has coached football, basketball and softball for over twenty-five years, coaching or administrating programs that have earned six State Championships as well as being named conference “Coach of the Year.” He served on the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune’s All-State Committee for numerous years.
Margret McBride’s agency established their reputation as masters of the business parable more than thirty years ago with their ground-breaking bestseller The One Minute Manager, by Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson, M.D. Their bestselling parables have also included Fish!, by John Christensen, Steve Lundin, and Harry Paul, and Raving Fans, by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles. (And of course, the Go-Giver books!) Margret’s team are more than agents; they are genuine go-givers themselves, and all-in collaborators at every stage of the process.
Portfolio was established in 2001 by publisher and fearless leader Adrian Zackheim as the first dedicated business book imprint within Penguin Group, now Penguin Random House. In addition to Bob and John, some of Portfolio’s notable authors have included Sir Richard Branson, Seth Godin, Guy Kawasaki, Capt. L. David Marquet, and Simon Sinek. Like the McBride Agency, Portfolio is far more than a publisher, and plays an active part in Team Go-Giver at every turn.
