I so enjoy listening to Bob’s Podcasts as I always learn something new. I share his words of wisdom, as well as the wisdom of his guests, with our students each day.
Thank you, Brother Randy. Very grateful for your kind words. So glad you’re enjoying the podcast!
Dondi is treasured friend and she’s so in her element in this episode!
I have a question, you mentioned Ritz Carlton, and I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Horst Schulze, the cofounder of that great organization. I was able to corner him and ask, “What are you most excited about right now?”
He said that one of the things he’s most excited about is spreading the word about excellence. “It’s not harder,” he said. Right then one of his PR folks whisked him away.
I was enthralled by his answer, and have been thinking about it ever since.
I’d love to hear your thougts, Bob. What do you think he meant?
Hi Mark, thank you for your kind words about Dondi. She is amazing, indeed! Regarding Mr. Schulze, first, what a great honor it must have been to meet him. His organization is the very embodiment of excellent.
In terms of what he meant by, “It’s not harder” — while not knowing based on any personal information, my guess would be that what he was saying was that if you one has both a desire to communicate excellence along with the tools/training to do so, then it’s not “harder” than doing things without excellence. Again, this is not something I could personally know; that’s simply my interpretation based solely on your above comment. Thank you, Mark. Much appreciated!
